A balanced solution of glucose and electrolytes that helps rehydrate the body quickly during dehydrating illnesses such as diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, colds and flu.

Gastrolyte electrolyte rehydration formula contains no artificial colours or flavours and is suitable for the family.

Signs of mild dehydration include dry or sticky mouth, lethargy, decreased urinary output (or darker in colour), sunken eyes, sunken fontanelle (soft spot on infant's head) and headache.

Warnings

Seek medical advice if your condition worsens or diarrhoea persists for more than: 6 hours in babies under 6 months old; 12 hours in children under 3 years; 24 hours in children 3-6 years; 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years. Mix Hydralyte immediately before required.Fill measuring cup to the (200mL) graduation line with fresh, cold drinking water. (For babies under 6 months it is recommended that freshly boiled and cooled water be used).Empty contents of one sachet into the measuring cup and stir the mixture until the Hydralyte powder has dissolved.Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist.Discard unused solution after 2 hours or 24 hours if refrigerated.Avoid mixing Hydralyte powder with cordial, fruit juice, soft drink or sports drink as these can interfere with the rehydration process.

Active ingredients per sachet: Glucose 2.91 g, Citric acid 880 mg, Sodium from Sodium chloride 210 mg, Potassium from Potassium citrate 160 mg.
